The passion and protectiveness Cristiano had for Natalie was beautiful, his dirty mouth and descriptions of what he was going to do to her was. Jessica Hawkins has written a multi-layered gem of a story that drew me in from the start and didn’t let me go. Yet, in this final book, it stops being a battle between a devoted husband and his unwilling wife because Natalie finally puts all the puzzle pieces together and learns the truth about her husband, learns who the villains were behind her mother’s murder and finally learns how to trust, forgive and love Cristiano. Natalie’s metamorphosis from a naive virginal pawn in the first book to Cristiano’s strong feisty heroic Queen willing to fight or die by the man she loved, had already gone through so many complex emotional challenges already. and the passionate dedication Cristiano had for his beloved Natalie, was shaken and tested over and over again. Right through the whole wonderful trilogy I was one hundred percent invested in this couple’s rollercoaster relationship as the pull of their chemistry.
